Color Usage - Presentation of the color theories of Albert Munsell, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Johannes Itten, Gyorgy Kepes and Joseph Albers with problems related to each theory.


Basic Design - A collection of twenty of the best problems from great educators to truly interest and teach students basic two and three-dimensional method and conceptual communication and the relationship to digital applications.


Visual Language - The development of an individual artistic style. The most subscribed to course in the history of the Kansas City Art Institute.


Working In Sequence - Basic to intermediate level course of instruction in the many possibilities and methods of using sequences and series in art and design from simple pagination, to digital application and exhibition design.     

               

Pattern Design - Basic to advanced repeat design practices from traditional to contemporary.


Collage - Historical presentation of collage applications & methods, 1890 to computer generated images.

               

Bookbinding - Introductory level workshop on paper and cloth, hand bound books and book boxes.

               

Creative Problem Solving - Seminar on seven basic problems solving methodologies.
